A New, Basic Web Site

The term "basic" may sound kind of, well, basic, but it certainly doesn't mean boring.  Since I'm all about simplicity, let's just use 2 categories for all web sites:  Basic and E-Commerce.  E-Commerce sites include shopping carts and secure online payment capabilities and require a good deal of set up and product detail.  Basic sites, like this one, don't have those particular features, but can have pretty much anything else.

A basic web site may be nothing more than a single page, with the pertinent information about your business.  Or it can be many pages with lots of content and features.  Either way, a couple of things should be in place (or at least considered) before the design process is started:

 Hosting 
Where your files will reside.

Your web address.
