WEB SITE
DESIGN - RATES FOR SERVICES |
|
|
This is where the KsN difference
becomes very clear. I did quite a bit of research in this area,
thinking it would be difficult to come up with a pricing structure for
all of the elements involved in creating a web site. Then it occurred
to me that if the site itself is based on simplicity, then the cost
should be too.

|
|
One. Flat. Rate. How
simple is that? I charge a flat rate of $75
per hour. No upfront costs, no hidden fees. No
confusion. And your initial consultation of up to one hour is no
charge. In addition to my charges, you would be
responsible for all Domain Registration, Hosting, and E-Commerce related
charges (but I'd be glad to help you set them up).
I keep a detailed, time-tracking spreadsheet for each client, and
convert that to an invoice every month. I believe this rate is
very competitive (I know of developers that charge $150-$200 per
hour). Unfortunately you DON'T always get what you pay for in this
business, so make sure you know exactly what you're getting before you
hire someone. |

So How Much For My
Site? It
really is hard to estimate what a site will cost without knowing
something about the business and what the client needs are. Here's
an example:
A one page site with basic graphics and features could take me as few as
2 hours, so that would be $150. Domain Registration can be
as little as $7.95 per year, and quality Hosting as little
as $8.95 per month. So for $150 and about $10 per
month your business could be online. What
are you waiting for? Adding
or including E-Commerce will add to those costs, but how much depends on
the type of business, number of products, etc. BACK
